I want sound and power icons to appear on the lower right side of the toolbar on my laptop.?

I dont know how the sound (volume) and power (battery) icons have disappeared from the lower right side on my laptop and I cant even change the settings by selecting them to reappear again. PLz help me. My laptop is a Tishiba Satellite.
