I personally didn't have a problem with it but I do understand when people put it down. It seemed like Sylvester Stallone was trying too hard for a story. The other complaint was that Tommy Morrison was such a horrible actor who seemed to be reading his lines. Stallone was trying to make a story about Rocky going back to his "roots" i.e. the streets of Philly but he did a much better job with "Rocky Balboa" in bringing that story to the screen.
