I would go for it. It might be a pain in the to go through all the stuff with the doctors and insurance company, but clearly the birth control pills are not working for you. Ovarian cancer is one of the hardest cancers to fight, and since it runs in your family, I wouldn't wait around for the doctors to decide something for you, especially since you have already had precancerous cells.
