Transport in Bangkok - the smartest way to move around the city ?

If your staying in Chinatown or Khao San road forget about skytrain or subway either goes that way. When I go into the city I never drive and I never take a taxi, I always bus it. You need to learn the routes to get around, However the skytrain and subway are good if your going somewhere along the line.
